RiskAC's Capital Cultural Team's Publication on ScienceDirect: A general method for multi–hazard intensity assessment for cultural resources: Implementation in the region of Eastern Macedonia and Thrace, Greece

In January 2024, the Cultural Capital team of RiskAC published in an innovative study introducing a groundbreaking intensity assessment method. This novel approach has been applied to evaluate the exposure of 918 cultural resources—ranging from monuments and archaeological sites to historical buildings—across the Region of Eastern Macedonia and Thrace (REMTh), Greece. The study examines the risks posed by seven distinct hazards, including earthquakes, floods, landslides, sea level rise, wildfires, soil erosion, and industrial–technological accidents, offering vital insights into the protection and preservation of cultural heritage.
