RiskAC's Team

RiskAC brings together 10 specialized scientific teams, creating a comprehensive interdisciplinary approach to risk assessment and resilience. Our team structure includes:

1. Coordination, Organization and Risk Interdependence Team

Led by: Prof. Ioannis Dokas

Responsible for overall project coordination and developing models of risk interdependencies.

2. Fire Risk Team

Led by: Prof. Georgios Mallinis

Focuses on forest fire risk assessment, fuel mapping, and fire behavior modeling.

3. Air Pollution and Meteorology Team

Led by: Assoc. Prof. Anastasia Paschalidou

Specializes in air pollution monitoring, dispersion modeling, and meteorological analysis.

4. Hydrological Risks Team

Led by: Assoc. Prof. Christos Akratos

Addresses flood risks, hydraulic simulations, and watershed management.

5. Infrastructure and Engineering Systems Team

Led by: Assoc. Prof. Konstantinos Chalioris

Focuses on infrastructure vulnerability assessment and engineering solutions.

6. IT Materials and Software Team

Led by: Prof. Lazaros Iliadis

Develops software tools and IT infrastructure for the centre.

7. Cultural Capital Team

Led by: Prof. Angelos Protopapas

Assesses risks to cultural heritage and develops protection strategies.

8. Health Impact Team

Led by: Prof. Eugenia Bezirtzoglou

Studies health impacts of disasters and environmental hazards.

9. Soil Risks and Geographic Information Systems Team
